GALATIA. Ancyra. Commodus, 177-192. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 30 mm, 16.62 g, 7 h). ΑVΤ Κ Μ ΑVΡΗ [ΚO]ΜΜOΔOϹ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΜΗΤΡOΠOΛ•ΑΝΚYΡΑϹ Herakles standing front, head to right, holding his right hand behind his back and leaning left on club set on rock; lion's skin draped over club. BMC 9. RPC IV.3 online 5688. Very rare. Slightly rough, otherwise, good very fine.
